We are working with Hexagon Housing, Royal Borough of Greenwich, and Peabody to create a community space open to everyone.
The Gallions Copse Community Garden is currently underway. It is located adjacent to Gallions Park, at the main entrance to West Thamesmead.
This sadly neglected and inaccessible green space scattered with litter and fly-tipping has begun to take shape as a community space. TWT members such as Olga, Mark, Flora & Emanuel have been working to clear the space of debris and overgrowth. You can really see the future community space coming together under their hard work.
Our vision is to create a walking path, install a series of benches, bins, and box gardens, develop a communal space for gardening and a storage area for equipment. With support from our partners this space will be a great place for community gardening and activities.
